Data Processing For Powerpoint

Software like PowerPoint is used by data processing experts for data entry. Data entry personnel read printed or hand written records like forms, newspapers and documents and use a computer having relevant software for storing information associated with the records.

Broadly speaking, the input for data entry is documents, magazines, books, catalogs, invoices, bills, orders, images or files in PDF format. The output of data entry is Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point) files, Microsoft Access database formats, PDF files, ASCII text, HTML or Photoshop files as the need may be.

In general, for effective data processing using PowerPoint, the data processing expert uses as few slides as possible to retain the attention of the audience. He will also choose an appropriate font size and style based upon the size of the audience so that the content is legible to even those people who will view the presentation from some distance away. He will also not use those fonts that are quite narrow and reduce the readability.

Fonts with fancy edges too will be avoided so that the attention of the audience is more towards the actual content and not the look of the content. For the same reason, the theme and background are kept subtle. Contrasting colours are used for the background and the text for better clarity. He will also take care to use bullets and short sentences that are just a line in length to enable the audience to read less and listen more to the presenter. Short sentences also have the advantage of not getting affected when slide projectors crop the edges of the slides.

Data processing ppt has the advantage of producing graphics, charts and graphs that are very informative. Anyway, all labels used should have short text associated with them so that they do not become overwhelming. While doing Data processing ppt, several features are used. In charts, data series which are data that are related is identified by using a pattern or colour. The different data series are represented by legends. There is only a single data series in a pie chart. Data points are values that are plotted. They are denoted by columns, bars, lines, dots or other shapes known as data markers.

A data series is constituted by data markers of same colour. Data labels provide more information  about data markers which represent data points/values originating from worksheet cells. Data labels of the chart are associated with worksheet’s values; they get updated when the values are changed. Data labels are used for displaying category and series names. Custom text is used wherever it is necessary.

Animated objects and text are used to provide visual and audio effects. The advantage of animation is to emphasise the important points, control the overall flow and kindle the interest of the audience. Custom animations will be done upon request-this includes allowing text to increase or decrease in size, making text fly or adding applause after a set of slides.
